After Care

Keep the tattoo wrapped for the first few hours after getting it. This will help to protect the tattoo and keep it clean. Saniderm can be left on for 3-5 days as long as irritation does not occur.

After removing the wrap, wash the tattoo gently with lukewarm water and mild, unscented soap. Pat the tattoo dry with a clean towel.

Apply a thin layer of a fragrance-free, water-based lotion (Our favorite is the Hemponix CBD/CBG Balm) to the tattoo. This will help to keep the tattoo moisturized and prevent it from drying out.

Avoid soaking the tattoo for the first week or so. This includes taking long showers or baths, swimming, and soaking in hot tubs.

Don't pick at any scabs or flakes that may form on the tattoo. Allow the tattoo to heal naturally and avoid scratching or rubbing it.

Wear loose, clean clothing over the tattoo to avoid irritation.

Avoid direct sunlight on the tattoo for at least two weeks. After that, be sure to use a high SPF sunscreen to protect the tattoo from fading.

If you notice any redness, swelling, or excessive discharge from the tattoo, contact your tattoo artist or a medical professional.

By following these simple steps, you can help ensure that your new tattoo heals properly and looks its best!
